Olivia's take: On Saturday, we went to London and saw the musical Oliver! (the exclamation point is part of the name). If you did not know, it's the musical of Oliver Twist. It was really enjoyable and funny, but it had all of the depressing parts in it too. One of our favorite lines of the play, said by Mr. Bumble, the owner of the orphanage was, " If the law says that, then the law is a ass!" It was so funny to watch him say that with his body movements and he was one of the most hilarious characters in the whole play. He had so many voices including a woman's. Fagin turned out to be very sweet with the boys and also was so hilarious. There was one part when they are packing for their escape, and he tries to think about the good things he had done, so during the song, he sang, very fast, the whole play and some of the quotes too, it was called," I am reveiwing the situation"! Oliver had a very sweet voice and Dodger was so full of energy that he looked as though he was ready to fall! It was so fabulous! I hope it comes to PPAC so I can see it again!!!!! ( the picture is a play on words so that it looks like Fagin's face).
